Exhibitions WorldFood Uzbekistan 2008 and AgroWorld Uzbekistan 2008 opened in Tashkent on 25 March. The aim of the events is to attract foreign investments in the Uzbek food industry and agricultural sector.

Among the exhibition participants are some 80 companies from more than 30 countries, including Uzbekistan, Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Netherlands, Turkey, Poland, Israel, Malaysia and Singapore.

The organizers of the events are the Ministry of foreign economic relations, investments and trade, Ministry of agriculture and water resources, Commerce and industry chamber, Tashkent city administration, as well as ITE Uzbekistan and ITE Exhibition & Conferences Ltd (Great Britain).

WorldFood Uzbekistan is being organized for the eighth time, while AgroWorld Uzbekistan is being held for the third time this year.
