WAIPA – PAIiIZ - ARAW Study tour – focus on BPO

Representatives of the investment agencies from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Tatarstan and Uzbekistan on a BPO study tour in Poland (28/08 – 02/09).
Together with the World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA) and Wroclaw Agglomeration Development Agency (ARAW), the Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency organized a study tour with focus on BPO. Participants could get acquainted with the Polish system of attracting investments in the BPO sector.

During their stay in Poland, the group visited Wrocław, where the Wrocław Agglomeration Development Agency (ARAW) organized meetings with “Polish Champions” companies. The firms (Selena, Clarena, Impel, Rec Global, Hasco-Lek, TelForceOne, Toya) belong to the most successful companies investing abroad and are interested in further expansion on the eastern markets. Our guests visited also the Wroclaw Research Center EIT+ - the biggest R&D project in Poland, worth more than EUR 200 million.

In Wrocław participants took part in a seminar, where Dr. Harsh Muthal, CEO and Managing Partner at Tholons delivered a presentation on BPO.

In Warsaw participants of the study tour took part in a meeting at the Ministry of Economy, where the Undersecretary of State, Ms Grażyna Henclewska welcomed the participants and presented trends concerning Polish relations with the CIS countries.
