In January-December 2011, the total volume of market services by all kinds of economic activity in Uzbekistan reached 41.083 trillion soums, including 9.75 trillion soums in the rural area, or 23.7% of the total volume of rendered services.

The State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said that in comparison with January-December 2010 the real increase of market services made up 13.2%.

The high growth rates were achieved in the following services: communication and information, including services of information and resource centers – 39.9%, tourism – 27.3, personal – 20.9%, repair of cars and other equipment – 18.9%, financial, including microcredit granting and internal trade and catering – 18.6%.

The following services prevailed in the structure of services: transport (30.1% of total services), trade and catering (20.9%), communal (11.6%), financial, including microcredit granting (8.5%), communication and information, including services of information and resource centers (6.4%).
