Prime Minister of Vietnam Nguyen Tan Dung will pay a visit to Uzbekistan within his tour to countries of Europe and Asia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam said.

Within the tour, Prime Minister of Vietnam Nguyen Tan Dung will pay official visit to the Netherlands, Uzbekistan and Ukraine from 27 September to 6 October. The visit to Uzbekistan is made at the invitations of Uzbek Prime Minister Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The tour is directed at further strengthening friendly relations and multisided cooperation between Vietnam and visited countries. Nguyen Tan Dung is accompanied by high-level officials of Vietnam.

During the visit to Uzbekistan, the two sides will discuss measures to foster economic, trade and investment relations, especially in oil and gas and agriculture.

The economic and trade relations between the two countries remain modest with bilateral trade staying at US.6 million in 2010 and US.56 million in the first half of 2011.
