Uzbek-South Korean joint venture “UzChasys” for the production of automotive lamps came into operation in Namangan region. The opening ceremony was attended by business representatives from relevant ministries, enterprises and organizations, professionals, foreign partners, members of the media.

Economic reforms conducted under the leadership of President Islam Karimov, created a favorable investment environment for foreign investors, are an important factor in increasing the number of joint ventures in our country, the production of export oriented and import-substituting production, localization industry, creating new jobs.

The establishment of this joint venture is an important step towards ensuring the implementation of decisions of the Cabinet of Ministers of 14 August this year on the program of industrial development of the Namangan region and the modernization of production in 2009-2012, expanding automotive industry in our country.

The joint venture resulted from collaboration joint-stock company “Uzavtosanoat” and company “Chasys So.Ltd” from the Republic of Korea.

This company, which has no analogues in Central Asia, is equipped with advanced production lines for high-precision polymer casting, processing, ultraviolet light, working with aluminum in a vacuum. In addition, it also installed modern equipment to check the quality of the finished product, test leak lights and lamps, to conduct a photometric test.

The enterprise will produce eighteen types of the lighting system for vehicles produced at the plant “GM Uzbekistan”. Another feature of the new technologies introduced here is that the production of a new model of the car or change in its design could in a short time adapted in w products.

Production capacity is 250 thousand sets of lights and lamps athe year, which will fully cover the need for joint enterprise “GM Uzbekistan”, the market automobile service of our country and the CIS.

With the launch of the first stage of the joint venture “UzChasys” created 200 jobs. Once the plant begins to operate at full capacity, there will be produced annually import substituting production to 40 million U.S. dollars.

In cooperation with “Chasys So.Ltd it is also planned to produce chassis and jacks. On the other enterprises in the region it is planned to produce forged components, filters and safety shields.
