Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Estonia to Uzbekistan with residence in Moscow Simmu Tiik held negotiations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan on 12 October 2011.

Estonian envoy Simmu Tiik handed over credentials, addressed to the President of Uzbekistan, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan said.

The sides discussed bilateral relations. It was said that political dialogue in various levels, interaction on actual international and regional issues meets interests of both sides.

The sides believe that economic cooperation should play important role in relations between Uzbekistan and Estonia as the sides have unrealized potential for development of mutual beneficial ties. The sides underlined important of developing cooperation in tourism sector.

During the meeting, the sides considered other perspective directions of cooperation, including scientific-technical and cultural-humanitarian sectors.
