Uzbek MPs, officials consider IT introduction in public administration

 

Members of Parliament (MPs) and officials of Uzbekistan discussed issues on introduction of modern information technologies to public administration at UNDP-backed conference in Tashkent on 29 June.

UNDP's "Enhancing Legislative and Institutional Capacities of the Parliament" project partnered with Committee of information and communication technologies of Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan to organize conference "Problems of introduction of modern information technologies to public administration".

"Enhancing Legislative and Institutional Capacities of the Parliament" project is directed to enhance capacity of the Legislative Chamber for effective law drafting, increased transparency and accessibility of the law drafts to public, and wider participation of academia, experts, general public, civil society, relevant governmental structures in legislative processes.

Participants of the event considered issues on introduction modern information technologies to public administration, legal basis to informatization of public administration, problems and perspectives, world experience and others.
