The conference with participation of Uzbek and Japanese archaeologists, historians and art scientists was held in Tashkent. The event was organized by the Forum of Culture and Art of Uzbekistan Fund.

The forum participants considered issues of joint archaeological research, promotion of historical and cultural heritage and international cooperation in these areas.

Uzbek and Japanese experts have long been successfully cooperating in archaeological works in Uzbekistan, with expeditions to sites like Fayaztepa, Dalvarzintepa and Karatepa in the southern Surkhandarya region.

Numerous monuments found during the research have proved that the ancient land of Uzbekistan is one of the cradles of the world civilization.
