Embassy of Uzbekistan in France hosted a briefing on economic performance of Uzbekistan in 2008 and priorities of economic development in 2009, as well as reforms in economic sphere and business environment for foreign investors.

Representatives of parliament and international organizations, diplomatic corps, political and business circles, public of France participated at the briefing, Jahon news agency reported.

The briefing noted that Uzbekistan achieved stable functioning of economy and ensured high growth of economy despite global financial crisis. Uzbek officials presented main macroeconomic indicators of the country in 2008, including the volume of attracted foreign investments into economy of Uzbekistan and priority directions of social-economic development of Uzbekistan in 2009.
