“Uzavtosanoat” stock company

 

 “Uzavtosanoat” stock company – is public institution, which represent motor-car constructing branch of Uzbekistan. It’s a promoter of 42 enterprises, operated in the field of manufacture, sale, technical maintenance and finance. SC “Uzavtosanoat” working as holding company and include enterprises on producing cars - Closed joint-stock company “General Motors Uzbekistan”, LLC “SamAuto”, JV “MAN Auto Uzbekistan”,  JV “Mercedes-Benz Central Asia”, JV “General Motors Powertrain Uzbekistan” – on producing engines and 15 main automotive components suppliers, as well as undertakings sale and support manning, leasing company, which ensure financing of sales of commercial vehicles and educational institutions.

Closed Joint - Stock Company «General Motors Uzbekistan» founded in March, 2008 jointly with General Motors Company on production passenger car models as Matiz, Damas, Nexia, Lacetti, Epica, Captiva and Spark.

CSC «General Motors Uzbekistan» was awarded with international certificates of quality, inc.:

November, 2001 - received the Accreditation Certificate for the right to conduct calibration and repair operations.

•           June, 2004 - received the International Quality Summit New York prize for quality, leadership advanced technologies and innovations.

•           July, 2004 - received the Testing Laboratory Accreditation Certificate.

•           September 2010 - received an international certificate of ISO 9001:2008.

There are over 140 dealers ofGM Uzbekistan in 94 cities of the CIS. The car market of the Russian Federation is the largest export market for GM Uzbekistan. The availability of a wide distribution network in Russia which embraces main financial and industrial centres helps to ensure a high level of car sales.  This network has sufficient experience of market activities that allows the Company’s cars to hold leading positions in the car sales ratings. CSC “GM Uzbekistan” regularly works on expansion of markets for its products. Countries of Middle East, North Africa and South America are considered as prospective markets for GM Uzbekistan automobiles.  

Today there are over 60 dealers in the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Also much attention is paid to the advanced training of employees. Training of the staff is conducted at three basic levels (on-the-job, at the Company’s Training Centre and practical in-service training).

Motor-CarConstructionCollege has been set up in Asaka and the branch of TurinPolytechnicUniversity opened in Tashkent for training of skilled personnel for the automobile industry of Uzbekistan. 

Also it is should be noted that information systems are introduced in company in order to monitor production, quality and purchase (order) management, reception export orders and other activities, such as GMS, GSIP, GPS  and others.

In 2008 was launched joint project with General Motors on production of engines – CSC “GM Powertrain Uzbekistan”. Establishment of engines production will open new page in development of automotive industry of Uzbekistan along with creation of new production which includes mechanical treating and aluminum molding. Moreover, It enables localization of components for engine systems. 

 One of the leading trading companies - ITOCHU Corporation was founded in 1858. Since that time, the company's business covers a very wide field of activities - from selling raw materials to delivery of finished goods to the final consumer.

Since 2008, ITOCHU Corporation is in the shareholders of “Samarkand Automobile Factory” LLC, the manufacturer of buses and trucks. The share of the Japanese company is 8%.

ITOCHU Corporation supplies for "SamAuto” LLC component parts for buses and trucks ISUZU. The data producer of these component parts - the company «Isuzu Motors» and Samarkand Automobile Plant have signed an agreement on technical assistance for the implementation of assembling buses on Samarkand automobile plant with the transfer of Japanese technology.

Delivery is carried out under a letter of credit payable at 240 days after shipment, which makes it possible to calculate a set chassis with funds received from the sale of finished products.

During the years of successful cooperation on production capacities of “SamAuto” LLC was produced 5,257 buses and 2,382 trucks of various types and capacity. In the nearest future planning to launch new series of advanced machines on the 700P chassis base. These chassis meet the high standards of international quality standards that will enable the promotion of production of joint Uzbek-Japanese production over a wide area around the world.

JV MAN Auto-Uzbekistan was established 9th of August 2009 according to the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Republic of Uzbekistan jointly with German company MAN Truck and Bus AG. The production of the MAN trucks was launched in December 2009 and in the same month was produced the first truck. From the beginning of the production activity 500 units of the commercial vehicles were produced: 71,2% of tractors and 28,8% of tippers. Along with the heavy trucks production, on the facilities of TTZ plant production of semitrailers was also developed (201 units of container-carriers and 40 units of car-carriers). Stock of orders for 2011 includes 800 units of MAN trucks.

The production line of MAN trucks is located in Samarkand. The main activity of the JV MAN Auto-Uzbekistan is the production of heavy trucks for Central Asia markets. On the first stage, for the needs of Oil, Automobile and Mining industries has been planned the launch of the tractors, trailers and tippers models on the TGA and CLA base, which are mostly demanded.

TGA and CLA models very famous in the Central Asia due to their reliability and advanced technologies.

From august 2010 the production of TGS 19.390 model was launched. The capacity of the plant is about  2000 units of commercial vehicles per year.
