Uzavtoprom joint stock company will set up production of auto components worth USD 18.8 million in Andijan within 2009-2012.

Creditors meeting of Bobur open joint-stock company adopted decision to realize part of its property to Uzavtoprom for 5.6 billion soums. The government of Uzbekistan approved initiative of the company to launch five enterprises on production of auto components at the premises of the enterprise. The components will be used for production of GM Uzbekistan (Asaka, Andijan region) and SamAvto (Samarkand).

The company plans to launch capacities on production of cooling, ventilation and heating system for USD 9.2 million, production of plastic petrol tanks for USD 5 million, non-fabric materials for decoration of saloon for USD 2.14 million, as well as catalytic converters and plastic details of medium standard size for USD 2.5 million. The capacities of the plants will be from 180,000 to 250,000 components a year.

Uzavtoprom is holding negotiations with several foreign companies on supply of equipment and their participation at these projects. The projects will be financed due to own resources of Uzavtoprom and credits of local banks.
