TITF in Tashkent has first day results

 
This morning the annual International Tourism Fair – TITF – 2011 was officially opened in Tashkent.

The Fair “Tourism on the Silk Road” holds in Tashkent the 17th time, and appears to be a comfortable place for establishing new business contacts, organizing events and interchange of the experience between representatives of international tourism sphere.

Chief Executive of the UNWTO Zoltan Samogyi called Tashkent Fair as “the example of power and vital capacity of tourism sphere”, the most important taking into the consideration the consequences of the Global Crises 2008 for international tourism. “ In spite of the suffering tourism sphere from the Global Crises, within the next few years experts expecting its quick recovery, especially the active grow of tourism is expecting in the countries of the South-Eastern Asia” – said Javier Blanco, Director of affiliated members of the UNWTO.

As was told by Rustam Mirzaev, the Chairman “Uzbektourism” National Company, in 2011 Uzbekistan was visited by more than millions of foreign tourists, in 2012 the increase of the tour flow is expecting for 30%. According his words, “TITF-2011 is combined with mega-infotour, which “Uzbektourism” is organizing for hundreds of foreign journalists from 31 countries. During the tour all the participants will get acquainted with tourism potential of Uzbekistan, its cultural heritage, customs and traditions”.

Not everyone knows that unique historical monuments of Samarkand, Bukhara, Shahrisabz and Khiva, registered in the list of World heritage of UNESCO, are only “a drop in the sea” of more than 4,000 historical objects of Uzbekistan. Moreover, the deserts of Kizilkum and Karakum, Western Tan-Shan Mountains, national gardens and resorts are ideal places for Uzbekistan tours.

On the first day of the Fair participants and guests of TITF were the witnesses of the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between “Uzbektourism” National Company and the Secretary of State for Trade, Crafts, Small and Medium Enterprises, Tourism, Services and Consumer of France, which will increase the tourists flows in two directions and strength the cooperation between the countries. That is only the beginning. The presence of the tourism companies and interesting business program of the Fair gives the base for hope that this Fair will be successful for a greater number of participants.
