The delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan composed of the representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, “Uzinfoinvest” Agency and National company “Uzbektourusm” visited Brunei-Darussalam on 9-12 September of the present year.

During the visit meetings and negotiations in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Council for Economical Development of Brunei, Investment Agency of Brunei, Bruneian-Malay Chamber of Commerce and Industry and in the Brunei Tourism were held.

Moreover, during the above-mentioned meetings the presentation of the industrial, investment and tourism potential of the Republic of Uzbekistan was held where a film “Invest in Uzbekistan” was demonstrated.

As a result of meetings held the representatives of Bruneian departments mentioned a high industrial and scientific development of Uzbekistan and emphasized a necessity of creating a joint commission aiming at elaboration of the prospective directions of the trade and economic cooperation between two countries.

One of the major results of the visit was the signing of the business agreement between NC “Uzbektourism” and “Darussalam Holdings Sendirian Berhad” company.
