President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov will pay an official visit to Brazil on 27-29 May on the invitation of this country's President Luiz In?cio Lula da Silva.

During the visit, the sides will consider issues of expansion and deepening of cooperation between the two states, as well as important regional and international issues.

Signing of a number of bilateral documents aimed at deepening cooperation in various spheres is expected, UzA reported.

On his way to Brazil, Islam Karimov will make a stopover in Madrid on 26 May, where he will meet the King of Spain Juan Carlos and other official figures.
