Fifty five new rural houses have been commissioned in the villages of Navoi region on the eve of the Constitution Day of Uzbekistan.

Ten more families moved in the new houses in Khazora neighborhood in Karmana district, to join 20 families that settled in here last year.

“This is a double holiday for us,” Elmurod Mediyev, one of the house owners, said. “Our children are happy we now have a beautiful house built on a modern project.”

According to Gaibulla Azizov, acting director of Navoi branhc of Qishloq Qurilish Invest engineering company, a total of 410 houses were built this year for rural residents.

The residential neighborhoods are being built across the country in accordance with the resolution of the President Islam Karimov of 3 August 2009 on expanding construction of housing in rural areas.
