The largest bank of Spain Banco Santander S.A. has announced that it intends to commence money remittances to Uzbekistan.

Contact international money transfer system is actively expanding its network abroad. Integration project with Santander group that belongs to Banco Santander S.A. ensured a significant network expansion to Contact. Due to cooperation with Banco Santander S.A, number of Contact servicing points increased by over 3,000.

Money remittances from Banco Santander S.A offices in Spain are to be carried out in USD to Uzbekistan, Armenia, Georgia, Poland, Russia, Ukraine, etc.

"Banco Santander is the largest bank in the Eurozone and one of the largest banks in the world in terms of market capitalizations; it has over 10,000 branch offices and is the first in the world among credit institutions," said Sergey Bludov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Russlavbank, Contact system clearing bank.

"The cooperation with such a strong partner with an extensive geographical network and large number of branch offices is crucial for Contact, since we always care about the maximum availability and quality of our services. The establishment of financial relations with such a large banking market player should have positive effect on system operational indexes dynamics in the upcoming year."
