The annual International Exhibition of Information Technologies ICTExpo 2008 opened in Tashkent in the framework of the ICT Week.

This year the exhibition is held simultaneously in Tashkent and Andijan. This was prompted by the desire to show the increased regional level of penetration of information technologies. The video link will allow visitors to see exhibitors of both exhibitions.

The participating companies demonstrate the latest developments in information technologies and present a wide range of services and solutions. Along with domestic ones, companies from Russia, Ukraine, China, Austria, Germany, South Korea and Hungary are participating in the forum.

The exhibition features sections like wire and wireless telecommunication technologies, design, construction and operation of telecommunication networks, mobile radio stations, computer hardware, software, projection and digital photos and videos, information protection systems, satellite and cable TV, broadcasting, etc.

Most of the exhibitors are members of the Association of IT enterprises and organizations of Uzbekistan, a non-profit organization, which is one of the organizers of the exhibition. It includes leading enterprises of IT-industry of Uzbekistan, as well as manufacturers of software, equipment suppliers, telecom operators, etc. Among them are Huawei Technologies, Nokia-Siemens, ZTE Corporation, Uzbektelecom, East Telecom, Sarkor Telecom, Ucell, Perfectum Mobile, MTS-Uzbekistan, Unitech, Teleset Alfa, UCD Micros, Agata Impex, Sharifa and others.
