China National Technical Imp. & Exp. Corp, a subsidiary of China General Technology (Group) Holding Co., Ltd ( Genertec), formally signed the agreement with Uzbekistan Railways on the electrification reconstruction project of the Tukumachi-Angren Railway in Uzbekistan.

Chinese firm won the bid for the project, which will be financed due to funds of the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development and loans from German KFW Bank.

This will be the first railway electrification reconstruction project that Genertec develops in Uzbekistan, with the contractual value at 25.54 million euros.
