The Uzbekistan Airways along with other leading air companies of the world introduced on June 1, 2008 electronic ticket issuing on international flights.

The Uzbekistan Airways has implemented two of five staged planned till 2010 when the company is to introduce the system of booking and selling of e-tickets. Here the national air company funded less than USD 500 thsd for the implementation of two stages and it did not exceed 1% of its last year incomes.

The Uzbekistan Airways’ main agencies, regional and foreign offices have already introduced electronic document circulation of air transportation. In future the company intends to develop electronic ticket system for domestic flights and its networks functioning in Uzbekistan. However, electronic tickets are available only in sales offices of the Uzbekistan Airways and in future the company plans to develop this system. The international airports in Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara, Ferghana and Namangan are ready to introduce the electronic ticket system. The international airport in Urgench will join them soon.
