CIS countries' industrial output up 9% in 1Q 2007

 

In the first quarter the aggregate industrial output of CIS countries grew by 9%, compared to the same period of the preceding year, CIS Statistics Committee said.

According to the data published by the Committee, the highest industrial production growth was observed in Azerbaijan (138.6%), Turkmenistan (125.6%), Uzbekistan (112%) and Ukraine (112.5%).

Also, in the reporting period, the prices for industrial products grew by 8% on average across the CIS. The highest price growth rates were recorded in Belarus (118.8%), Moldova (121.6%), Tajikistan (119.3%) and Ukraine (116.7%).
